The mental space of painting, expressed inworks that experiment with a new idea of existing urban panorama in search ofvisionary aesthetics. Zaha Hadid, winner of the Pritzker Architecture Prize in2004, is world famous for projects such as the MAXXI in Rome, the Fire Stationin Vitra or the Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art in Cincinnati.


The Moleskine brand was created in 1997,bringing back to life the legendary notebook used by artists and thinkers overthe past two centuries, such as Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, ErnestHemingway, and Bruce Chatwin.

The company began life as Modo&Modo, asmall Milanese publisher that, in 1997, brought the original notebook back tolife and established the Moleskine® trademark. Moleskine Srl went on to acquirethe worldwide trademark rights for the brand in January 2007 and was listed on theItalian Stock Exchange in 2013. The brand was acquired and delisted byD’Ieteren at the end of 2016.

Moleskine is a creative company enjoyingcontinuing growth. It has about 550 employees and a vast network of partnersand consultants. Its home office is in Milan, Italy.

Moleskine is publishing Inspiration AndProcess In Architecture, a new series of illustrated monographs dedicated tokey figures in contemporary architecture. It offers a reading of the practiceof design which emphasises the value of freehand drawing as part of thecreative process. Each Volume provides a different perspective, revealingsecrets and insights and showing the various observation techniques languages,characters, forms and means of communication.
